Application Klüber Summit SH 32
Klüber Summit SH oils have been designed especially for the lubrication of highly loaded, oil-injected screw-type compressors with oil change intervals up to 10,000 operating hours. Klüber Summit SH oils can also be used for compressors that were previously run with mineral oils. They are neutral towards most elastomer seals used in air compressors, therefore leakage is not to be expected. Klüber Summit SH 32 is especially suitable for centrifugal compressors and Klüber Summit SH 100 for reciprocating piston compressors. Klüber Summit SH oils offer good oxidation stability due to the synthetic base oil, thus minimizing oxidation residues in the compressors and extending oil change intervals and the service life of oil filters and separators. Special inhibitors contained in the oils keep the inside of compressors clean. Owing to the evaporation stability of the base oil, the oil vapour content in the compressed air can be considerably reduced compared to conventional mineral oils. This contributes to a reduction of oil consumption and clean compressed air; gumming of pneumatic valves in the compressed air circuit can be prevented as well due to the low oil content of the Klüber Summit SH oils.

The Klüber Summit DSL 68 oil is specially designed for oil freshening intervals of up to 8,000 operating hours* in oil-injected propeller compressors. Klüber Summit DSL 32 and 46 can also be used for lubricating centrifugal compressors, while Klüber Summit DSL 68 is particularly suitable for the lubrication piston compressors. Klüber Summit DSL oils are used for compressors previously used with conventional mineral oils. These oils are neutral compared to most elastomer seals used in air compressors, so leakage is not to be expected. Klüber Summit DSL 68 is biodegradable and can therefore be used in environmentally friendly applications. Klüber Summit DSL 68 oil offer good oxidation stability thanks to the synthetic base oil, minimising oxidative residues in the compressors in the oil freshening intervals and extending the life of oil filters and separators (screw compressors) and valves (piston compressors).

Klüber Tyreno Fluids have been tested as filling fluids according to the Autogeneous Ignition Temperature (AIT) procedure. Klüber Tyreno Fluids can also be used as vapour-resistant, chemically inert transmission fluid in dry-running screw-type pumps. Klüber Tyreno Fluids can also be used as sliding agent for the lubrication of valves, fittings and installations carrying gaseous oxygen or for chemical plants and apparatus requiring good resistance to various gases (conclusion by analogy based on chemical composition. For this purpose, we recommend users conduct their tests using the complete component under conditions similar to series application. Test results show the products' usability for an O2 content > 21 % by vol. under operating conditions specified in the product data section of this product information leaflet. Behaviour towards metal, elastomers and plastics Klüber Tyreno Fluid 3/6V, 6/14V, 12/25V are normally neutral towards metallic materials, plastics and elastomers within the envisaged temperature range.
