Application Klüber Summit Ultima 68

Klüber Summit Ultima oils have been especially designed for screw-type compressors subject to high loads. They are used for oil change intervals up to 12,000 operating hours in oilinjected screw-type compressors. Klüber Summit Ultima oils can be used for compressors that were previously run with mineral oils. Klüber Summit Ultima oils are neutral towards most elastomer seals used in air compressors, therefore leakage is not to be expected. Klüber Summit Ultima oils offer better oxidation stability than conventional synthetic oils due to the synthetic base oil content, thus minimising oxidation residues in the compressors and extending oil change intervals and the service life of oil filters and separators. Special inhibitors contained in the oil keep the inside of compressors clean and ensure a high efficiency. Owing to the evaporation stability of the base oil, the oil vapour content in the compressed air can be reduced several-fold compared to conventional mineral oils. This contributes to a reduction of oil consumption and clean compressed air; it also helps to prevent the gumming of pneumatic valves in the compressed air circuit.

Klüber Summit DSL 32 and 46 can also be used for the lubrication of centrifugal compressors, whereas Klüber Summit DSL 68 ... 125 is particularly suitable for the lubrication reciprocating piston compressors. Refrigerator compressors · Shell Refrigeration Oil S2 FR-A is recommended for use in open, semi-open and hermetic compressors in domestic, commercial and industrial refrigeration systems. It can be used in both rotary and reciprocating compressor types. Shell Refrigeration Oil S2 FR-A is recommended for use with ammonia (R717) based refrigeration systems where it offers excellent performance, even under high compressor discharge temperatures, or down to evaporation temperatures of -30°C. It can also be used in systems using hydrocarbons such as propane (R290). Shell Refrigeration Oil S2 FR-A is not recommended for use with CFC, HCFC or HFC refrigerants such as R12, R22 or R134a.

Compressor oil for applications in hyper compressors / ethylene gas compressors

Application Shell Gas Compressor Oil S3 PY 220

Hyper-compressors. Shell Gas Compressor Oil S3 PY has been used for more than 10 years in a variety of different hyper compressors. The ISO viscosity class 220 allows low feed rates, which reduces the oil content remaining in the polymer. However, the use of ISO viscosity class requires a higher working temperature at the cylinder. Shell Gas Compressor Oil S3 PY 150 is used for loss lubrication at standard temperatures.

Applications in the food industry. Shell Gas Compressor Oil S3 PY meets the requirements of the US FDA for occasional food contact.

Pharmaceutical applications. The oil is suitable for use in the production of polymers used in the pharmaceutical industry.

LDPE insulation. The use of Shell Gas Compressor Oil S3 PY allows the production of an LDPE with good dielectric properties, which can be used for cable insulation.
