Application CASTROL ALPHASYN T 220

The Alphasyn T range has been formulated for use in most types of light to medium duty enclosed gear systems but should not be used for heavy or shock loaded systems. Alphasyn T is also suitable for bearings and circulatory systems operating at high temperatures. Alphasyn T is suitable for various applications where a lubricating oil is used under high temperatures, e.g. from hydraulic systems through to large, slow moving gears. All products in the Alphasyn T range have very low pour points and excellent viscosity and temperature characteristics, allowing their use in both low and high temperature applications. The Alphasyn T range is fully compatible with nitrile, silicone and fluropolymer seal materials.

Synthetic air compressor oils for oil change intervals up to 10,000 operating hours

Application Klüber Summit SH 46

Klüber Summit SH oils have been designed especially for the lubrication of highly loaded, oil-injected screw-type compressors with oil change intervals up to 10,000 operating hours. Klüber Summit SH oils can also be used for compressors that were previously run with mineral oils. They are neutral towards most elastomer seals used in air compressors, therefore leakage is not to be expected. Klüber Summit SH 32 is especially suitable for centrifugal compressors and Klüber Summit SH 100 for reciprocating piston compressors. Klüber Summit SH oils offer good oxidation stability due to the synthetic base oil, thus minimizing oxidation residues in the compressors and extending oil change intervals and the service life of oil filters and separators. Special inhibitors contained in the oils keep the inside of compressors clean. Owing to the evaporation stability of the base oil, the oil vapour content in the compressed air can be considerably reduced compared to conventional mineral oils. This contributes to a reduction of oil consumption and clean compressed air; gumming of pneumatic valves in the compressed air circuit can be prevented as well due to the low oil content of the Klüber Summit SH oils.

RENOLIN UNISYN XT 220 field of applications:

The oils of the RENOLIN UNISYN XT series are used for all applications in industry where a synthetic oil of the CLP type according to DIN 51517-3 is recommended by the manufacturer. Highly-stressed bearings, joints, pressure screws, spur gears, worm gears and planetary gears can be reliably, safely and economically supplied even at short-term peak temperatures up to 150 °C.

Application Considerations: While the Mobil SHC Gear 1500, 3200, and 6800 are compatible with mineral oil based products, admixture may detract from their performance. Consequently it is recommended that before changing a system to one of the Mobil SHC Gear 1500, 3200, or 6800 lubricants, it should be thoroughly cleaned out and flushed to achieve the maximum performance benefits. Mobil SHC Gear 1500, 3200, and 6800 oils are recommended for all types of enclosed steel-on-steel gear drives. They are suitable for both circulation and splash lubrication systems. They are particularly recommended for gear sets operating under heavy or shock loads and low speeds where boundary lubrication may prevail. Applications for this product family are: Mobil SHC Gear 1500, 3200 and 6800 - Industrial enclosed spur, helical and bevel gears, especially slow speed, and/or high load units. Mobil SHC Gear 1500, 3200 and 6800 - Plain and rolling element bearings, especially in slow speed, and/or high load applications. Mobil SHC Gear 3200 and 6800 - Railroad DC Traction Motor drives. Mobil SHC Gear 3200 and 6800 - Certain open gear applications such as oiling pinions or specially designed circulation systems.

We developed Klübersynth GE 46-1200 on the basis of our long experience in the lubrication of spur, bevel and worm gears. Especially for steel/steel combinations, for example in small and miniature gears, gear motors and power tool gears, Klübersynth GE 46-1200 offers outstanding performance characteristics. Medium peripheral speeds of 4-5 m/s can be effectively handled by this grease. It also provides vibration and noise damping. Klübersynth GE 46-1200 can also be used to optimise the lubrication of ball and roller guides, plain and rolling bearings, and toothed couplings from – 30 to 120 °C. It may even be applied at extreme temperatures down to -50 °C since Klübersynth GE 46-1200 will build up a load-carrying lubricant film at these low temperature conditions.
