Applications of TotalEnergies COPAL OGL 2
COPAL OGL 2 is primarily designed for open gears where an NLGI 2 grade is required. In addition, it can be used as jackhammer grease, as a primer / lubricating grease for gears of ovens and mills, and for heavily loaded plain bearings operating under extremely severe conditions (shock loads, high loads, heavy water presence) or where a strongly adhesive grease is required (e.g. fifth wheel).
COPAL OGL 2 provides excellent adhesion and very high resistance to heavy loads and repeated shock loading. This helps reduce wear on gears and plain bearings and can significantly extend equipment service life. Thanks to the presence of solid lubricants, the coefficient of friction is reduced, which can limit wear (especially near gear tooth tips and roots) and help reduce energy consumption. The product performs well in the presence of water, even under pressure, and contains no lead or other heavy metals considered harmful to human health or the environment.

Application advice
Preferably apply using a pneumatic pumping system. COPAL OGL 2 can also be applied manually using brushes or other suitable tools. For optimal lubrication performance, good tool cleanliness is recommended.
