Houghton Garia 601 M-22

It is based on hydro treated mineral oils with a low aromatic content.It's formulated to a combination of polar, extreme pressure and anti-wear additives.

Properties

Its composition gives the oil high load carrying properties. Its high additive content and controlled extreme pressure properties allow high rates of metal removal, which results in reduced machining costs.

The oil provides good tool life and excellent surface finish of the machined work pieces. Efficient anti mist additives reduce mist in the air.

Due to its active sulphur content, the oil may discolor yellow metals.

Application

Garia 601 M-22 is recommended for machining high alloyed steels, stainless, heat resistant or austenitic steels and aluminum or magnesium alloys. The oil gives excellent results with many difficult operations such as broaching, deep-hole drilling, tapping, shaping or shaving of gears.

Rust Veto DW 162 is a rust inhibitor with a short protective duration suitable for protection during storage or use of metal surfaces that are susceptible to corrosion. Rust Veto DW 162 is a solvent-based anti-corrosion agent with water-displacing properties. It protects metal surfaces against the harmful effects of moisture, air, detergents and other contaminants. Rust Veto DW 162 quickly expels water, moisture and other contaminants from the surfaces to be protected.

Garia 405 M-32 is a neat cutting oil. It is commonly used for machining higher alloyed steels, aluminum and magnesium alloys.

Properties

Garia 405 M-32 is a chlorine free product. It is free of heavy metals and has a low aromatic content. It contains a well balanced combination of polar, extreme pressure and antiwear additives which give the oil high load carrying properties.

Due to its active sulphur content, the oil may discolor yellow metals.

Applications

Garia 405 M-32 is recommended for general machining operations such as turning, drilling and gear hobbing on steel of low to medium tensile strength, aluminum and magnesium alloys. It is also suitable for grinding where higher viscosity is required, e.g. thread grinding.

Ensis DW 1262 is a rust inhibitor with a medium-term protection (up to 12 months in storage). Ensis DW 1262 is a solvent-based anti-rust agent with de-watering properties that, after evaporation of the solvent, leaves a temporary waxy film on the metal surfaces to be protected. Ensis DW 1262 protects metal parts in an efficient way against the harmful effects of humidity, air, detergents and other contaminants. Ensis DW 1262 can be applied by means of dipping or spraying.
