Total Carter SH 460 is an industrial lubricating oil used in heavy-duty applications such as gearboxes, circulation systems and compressors. It is designed to ensure optimum protection of machinery against wear, oxidation and corrosion. The oil also offers excellent performance at high temperatures and is suitable for use in both closed and open systems.
The key properties of Total Carter SH 460 include high thermal and oxidation stability, high viscosity index, good wear protection, and good corrosion protection. It is also resistant to water and has good demulsifying properties. This means that it reduces the tendency of water to mix with the oil, making it more resistant to ageing and reducing the risk of corrosion. Moreover, it is compatible with a wide range of seal materials and has good anti-foaming properties.
