Total Carter EP 680 is a high-viscosity mineral lubricant suitable for applications such as gears, circulation systems and bearings. It has high thermal stability and provides protection against wear, corrosion and rusting. It also has good demulsifying properties, meaning it can effectively separate water and prevent the formation of emulsions.
Total Carter EP 680 is suitable for heavy loads in gear transmissions because of its high viscosity and the extreme pressure and wear protection it provides. Under heavy loads, there is higher friction between gears and more heat can be generated. Total Carter EP 680's high thermal stability ensures that the lubricant maintains its viscosity and does not lose its lubricating properties, even at high temperatures.
