These compressor oils are formulated with high-quality base oils and a high-performance additive system to deliver excellent equipment protection and reliability for compressors operating under light to severe conditions. The compressor oils offer excellent wear protection and help reduce maintenance costs by minimizing equipment problems and reducing deposits in connected systems. Due to their high FZG rating, lubricants in the Mobil Rarus 426 series are extremely well suited for compressor systems using gears and bearings. Therefore, they are an excellent choice for cylinder and crankcase lubrication.
Main Applications of Mobil Rarus 426 include:
Mobil Rarus 426 oils are recommended for single- and multistage air compressors. They are particularly suitable for applications operating continuously at high temperatures. The maximum discharge air temperature according to DIN 51506 is 220 °C. They can be used in reciprocating and rotary screw compressors, where the lower viscosity grades are often used in rotary types. Mobil Rarus 426 oils are recommended for installations with a history of rapid oil degradation, poor valve performance, and heavy deposit formation. These oils are compatible with all metals used in the construction of compressors, as well as elastomers compatible with mineral oils used in seals, O-rings, and gaskets.
