Mobil Rarus 424 compressor oils provide excellent wear protection and the ability to reduce maintenance costs by minimizing equipment problems and reducing deposits in connected systems. Due to the high FZG rating, lubricants from the Mobil Rarus 424 range are particularly suitable for compressor systems using gears and bearings. It is therefore an excellent choice for cylinder and crankcase lubrication.

The Mobil Rarus 424 oils are recommended for single- and multi-stage air compressors. They are particularly suitable for applications that operate continuously at high temperatures. The maximum discharge air temperature according to DIN 51506 is 220 °C. They can be used in reciprocating and screw compressors, where the lower viscosity grades are mainly used in rotary types. The Mobil Rarus 424 oils are recommended for installations with a history of severe oil degradation, poor valve performance and heavy deposit formation. These oils are compatible with all metals used in compressor construction and with elastomers compatible with mineral oils used in seals, O-rings, and gaskets.
