Application Klüber Summit TM 15
Klüber Summit TM 15 and Klüber Summit TM 20 were especially developed for the lubrication of oil-injected screwtype compressors. Under normal operating conditions, these oils achieve oil change intervals of up to 3,000* operating hours. Used compressors can be converted from conventional mineral oils to Klüber Summit TM 15 or 20, which are neutral towards most elastomers typically used in air compressors - no leakage is to be expected. Klüber Summit TM oils were developed for compressors where the use of fully synthetic oils is undesirable or where such oils would not make sense economically due to a limited number of operating hours per year. Klüber Summit TM 15 and TM 20 have a synthetic base oil component, providing good resistance to oxidation, reducing the formation of residues in the compressor. The oils contain specific inhibitors to keep compressors clean to improve compressor efficiency. *Normal operating conditions are: discharge temperature max. 85 °C, final discharge pressure max. 8 bar, dry and clean intake air and circulation rate of the oil in the compressor less than 1.5. Product Description Klüber Summit TM 15
For your compressed air applications, you need to be reliably supplied with the necessary volume of compressed air at a specific pressure and with a specific quality at all times. Klüber Summit TM 15 and TM 20 are available in viscosities ISO VG 46 and ISO VG 68. They are high-performance base products for air compressors based on a thoroughly cleaned, hydrogenated mineral oil and special additives (Syntholate). These oils are miscible with mineral oils and synthetic hydrocarbons

Application notes
When selecting the oil viscosity for air compressors, please observe the manufacturer's instructions. When switching a used compressor to Klüber Summit TM 15 or TM 20, drain the old oil from the whole circuit while still warm. We also recommend changing all oil filters and separators. Then refill the compressor with Klüber Summit TM 15 or TM 20. Incompatibility reactions due to the changeover or mixing with the previously used oil are not expected. If the previously used oil was a mineral oil, oxidation residues may be present in the compressor. Typical symptoms are black discoloration or impurities in the previously used oil. As such residues can affect the service life of the fresh Klüber Summit TM oil, we recommend cleaning the compressor with Klüber Summit Varnasolv prior to changeover.
