  • Houghton Garia 405 M-32

    Houghton Garia 405 M-32

Garia 405 M-32 is a neat cutting oil. It is commonly used for machining higher alloyed steels, aluminum and magnesium alloys.

    Properties

Garia 405 M-32 is a chlorine free product. It is free of heavy metals and has a low aromatic content. It contains a well balanced combination of polar, extreme pressure and antiwear additives which give the oil high load carrying properties.

Due to its active sulphur content, the oil may discolor yellow metals.

    Applications

Garia 405 M-32 is recommended for general machining operations such as turning, drilling and gear hobbing on steel of low to medium tensile strength, aluminum and magnesium alloys. It is also suitable for grinding where higher viscosity is required, e.g. thread grinding.

Cutting Oil and Drilling Oil in the World of E-commerce: Optimal Performance and Efficiency

In the bustling world of metalworking, everything revolves around efficiency and quality. A crucial part of this success is specialized oils, such as cutting oil and drilling oil, used in various industrial applications. In this article, we will take a closer look at these oils and emphasize their importance in metalworking.

Cutting Oil: For Precision and Material Machining

Often, this term is misused, referring to a water-miscible coolant. Cutting oil, also known as machining oil, plays a crucial role for metalworking companies dependent on precision machining, such as the production of custom metal parts. This oil is designed to reduce friction between the cutting tool and the material, resulting in precision cuts, a smoother surface, and extended tool life. Here are some reasons why cutting oil is essential:

  • Increased Accuracy: Cutting oil ensures a smooth cutting motion and prevents overheating, achieving precise and neat cuts.
  • Extended Tool Life: It minimizes wear on cutting tools, reducing production costs and increasing efficiency.
  • Better Finish: Cutting oil enables metalworking companies to produce high-quality, smooth surfaces, enhancing the aesthetic value of their products.

Drilling Oil: For Efficient Drilling Operations

Drilling oil is essential for companies in metalworking that regularly drill and create holes in various materials, such as metal, wood, and plastic. This oil reduces friction and helps remove chips during the drilling process. Here are some benefits of using drilling oil:

  • Increased Drilling Speed: Drilling oil ensures a smooth drilling motion and increases drilling speed, resulting in time savings.
  • Extended Life of Drills: It minimizes drill bit wear, allowing them to last longer and save costs.
  • Reduced Heat Buildup: Drilling oil prevents overheating of the drilling tool and the workpiece, crucial for precision work.

Questions and Answers

Why is cutting oil important for metalworking companies engaged in precision machining?

Cutting oil is crucial due to its ability to improve the accuracy of cuts, extend the life of tools, and provide a better finish for products.

How does drilling oil contribute to the efficiency of drilling operations in metalworking companies?

Drilling oil increases the drilling speed, extends the life of the drilling tool, and minimizes heat buildup, leading to faster and cost-effective drilling operations in metalworking applications.
