Klüber Klüberbio EG 2-150
Klüber Klüberbio EG 2-150
Environmentally compatible, synthetic high-performance gear oils
Application Klüber Klüberbio EG 2-150
Klüberbio EG 2 oils were developed for the lubrication of ships’ gearboxes, particularly for thrusters and rudder propellers. Leading manufacturers of thrusters and propeller shaft seals have tested and approved these oils. Please contact Klüber Lubrication or the manufacturer of the seal or thruster for technical consultation on your specific seallubricant combination. Klüberbio EG 2 oils protect rolling elements effectively against wear and pitting, thus complying with the requirements of rolling bearing manufacturers for highly loaded, large rolling bearings in pod drives. Klüberbio EG 2-68, 100 and 320 oils can also be used for the lubrication of open-running drive and conveyor chains, e.g. in installations and machines in agriculture, forestry and water resources industries as well as for horticultural appliances.

Biodegradable Lubricants: Environmentally Friendly Options
Biodegradable lubricants have a lesser impact on the environment. These lubricants can be quickly broken down, at least 80%, according to CEC L-33-A-93, into environmentally harmless inorganic compounds.
Switching to Biodegradable Lubricants
Are you active in vulnerable environmental areas and aware of the impact of lubricants, or does the type of oil you use need to meet certain standards? Then biodegradable fats and oils can be the solution for you. Feel free to contact us for switching advice. Olieonline's biodegradable lubricants meet strict safety requirements. Order them easily and quickly at OlieOnline.nl. Do you have a question about biodegradable lubricants or are you unsure which type to buy? What is Biodegradability?
Actually, that is not the definition of biodegradable. Biodegradable materials are defined as materials that break down over time into their components. The crucial question is how much time, as almost any material used in lubricants will break down given enough time. Furthermore, biodegradability by itself is not necessarily beneficial unless it is also non-toxic. An example of this is materials containing ethylene glycol. Ethylene glycol is one of the most biodegradable materials on earth, as it breaks down into its components within 24 to 36 hours due to exposure to air and sunlight, but it is also one of the most toxic materials for animals. Be careful what you ask for, as there are many suppliers claiming biodegradability but not defining other properties. Vegetable oils are good materials to work with, but they do not meet market requirements for every application.
Questions and Answers
What are the benefits of biodegradable lubricants for the environment?
Biodegradable lubricants contribute to reduced environmental impact because they are quickly broken down into harmless compounds, reducing their impact on the environment.
Why is biodegradability alone not sufficient for lubricants?
Biodegradability by itself is not sufficient because the material must also not be toxic. Some substances can break down quickly but are highly toxic to humans and the environment, so other properties must also be considered when choosing lubricants.
Where can I buy Biodegradable Lubricants?
The easiest and most cost-effective way is online! OlieOnline delivers all globally known biodegradable lubricants throughout the entire Benelux. They specialize in biodegradable lubricants, buy directly from the wholesaler now.
