Application Mobil Glygoyle 460

The Mobil Glygoyle Series is specifically designed for the lubrication of worm gears, especially for heavy-duty, severe service applications, both in food-grade and non food-grade applications. Additionally, the product family has also proven to be an excellent lubricant for many types of industrial gears and anti-friction bearing applications under severe service conditions. Additionally, their poor miscibility with hydrocarbons makes the lower viscosity grades especially effective in hydrocarbon gas compression applications because of the reduced viscosity dilution that occurs in this application versus hydrocarbon based compressor oils. The Mobil Glygoyle Series is used for the lubrication of filled for life gearboxes and heavy-duty worm gears, other industrial gearing in a wide variety of applications, lubrication of plain and rolling contact bearings, and most types of compressors. Specific applications include: Filled for life gearboxes, especially high ratio/low-efficiency worm gears. Application Considerations: While Mobilith SHC Series greases are compatible with most mineral oil based products, admixture may detract from their performance. Consequently it is recommended that before changing a system to one of the Mobilith SHC Series, it should be thoroughly cleaned out to achieve the maximum performance benefits. While the Mobilith SHC Series greases share many performance benefits, their applications are best described in terms of each product grade: Mobilith SHC 007 is an NLGI 00 Grade / ISO VG 460 grease with a synthetic base fluid; it has a recommended operating temperature range of -50º C to 150 º C with appropriate relubrication intervals. Its primary uses are in grease filled industrial gear cases subject to high temperatures, where conventional semi fluid greases will not provide acceptable lubricant life and in non-driven heavy-duty truck trailer wheel hubs.

Application Mobil Vacuoline 546

These oils are intended primarily for the lubrication of plain bearings, roller bearings, parallel shaft and bevel gearing. They are suitable as multipurpose lubricants in systems not subject to shock loading and which do not require extreme pressure performance. The Mobil Vacuoline 500 series possess good demulsibility that is retained under conditions of severe water contamination. Mobil Vacuoline 500 series are used in applications using splash, bath and ring oil arrangements and all other application methods involving pumps, valves and auxiliary equipment. They are recommended for use in hydraulic systems where higher viscosity oils are specified. They are particularly resistant to the effects of prolonged high temperature exposure and perform well in circulating systems with short oil residence times. Typical applications include: No Twist Rod Mills. Moderate duty spur, bevel, helical and herringbone gear units. Circulating systems. Mobil Vacuoline 525, 528, 533 can also be used in hydraulic systems employing gear, vane, radial and axial piston pumps where high viscosity anti-wear hydraulic fluids are required. Certain compressors and vacuum pumps handling air and inert gases provided the discharge temperatures do not exceed 150oC , not suitable for breathing air compressors
