Hyspin AWH-M contains a shear stable additive system which helps maintain the viscosity characteristics of the product over a wide temperature range even during prolonged use and imparts a very low pour point which enables the product to be used in very cold environments. It exhibits excellent corrosion and wear protection as well as outstanding thermal and oxidative stability. In addition, Hyspin AWH-M has excellent hydrolytic stability and separates rapidly from water contamination upon standing. Applications include: Outdoor equipment which are likely to operate in wide temperature ranges, such as machinery subjected to cold start up conditions and high temperature continuous running. The Hyspin ZZ range are formulated for applications requiring anti-wear and superior oxidation performance and are particularly suitable for hydraulic systems using vane and piston pumps where elevated operating temperatures are encountered. They are formulated for use in severely stressed systems in which high levels of anti-wear performance and/or ultra fine filtration are required. They have been proven to be resistant to the effects of ‘dieseling’ in highly stressed systems such as plastic injection moulding and fatigue testing equipment where the application leads to rapid breakdown of more conventional products. The range is fully compatible with elastomer materials commonly used for static and dynamic seals, such as nitrile, silicone and fluorinated (e.g. Viton) polymers.

CASTROL Performance Bio HE 46

Application CASTROL Performance Bio HE 46

Performance Bio HE 46 is intended for use in all hydraulic systems, where there is a risk that leaking fluid will contaminate ground water and the sewage system, such as in earthmoving machinery, refuse collection lorries, agricultural and forestry machinery, rail vehicles, presses and wrapping machines. Thanks to the carefully selected base oil, it can be used up to +120 °C. The viscosity index has a high value which means that the viscosity of the product depends relatively little on the temperature. The environmentally friendly nature, measured according to the CEC L-33-A-93 test is >90%. Performance Bio HE46 is not miscible with water. Performance Bio HE 46 is miscible with hydraulic fluids based on mineral oil and vegetable or synthetic esters. Nevertheless, when switching from mineral oil based hydraulic fluids to Performance Bio HE 46 it is recommended to empty the system completely as mixing with mineral oil reduces biodegradability and may lead to foaming problems. Performance Bio HE 46 meets the requirements according to VDMA 24568 for a HEES (Hydraulic Environmental Ester Synthetic).

Alphasyn T grades have been formulated for use in bearings, circulatory systems and moderately-loaded gear systems operating at both high and low temperatures. Alphasyn T should not be used for heavy / shock loaded systems. Alphasyn T is suitable for various applications where a lubricating oil is used under extremes of temperature or variable temperatures, e.g. from hydraulic systems through to large, slow moving gears. All products in the Alphasyn T range have very low pour points and excellent viscosity / temperature characteristics, allowing their use in both low and high temperature applications.
